Ativan oral is most commonly used lorazepam and its used to treat anxiety. This medication acts on the brain and central nervous system to produce a calming effect. If you use this medication more then 3 weeks or if you have a history of alcoholism or drug abuse, Ativan may cause withdrawal reactions. Some of the withdrawal symptoms are trouble with sleeping, mental changes, loss of appetite, stomach pain, hallucinations, muscle pain, fast heartbeat, memory loss in short-term. To prevent withdrawal reactions, speak with your doctor to reduce your dose gradually.
